Requirements

Current MO RN License.
BLS
ACLS
PALS

Responsibilities

Demonstrate appropriate preparation of patient: ID of patient, procedure, chart, checked for completeness and assessment of patient safety issues.
Demonstrate performing in person and telephone pre ops with patient.
Demonstrate ability to chart pre, procedure and post procedure/operative phases accurately and completely.
Demonstrate ability to assess pre op patient and ability to establish and maintain IV line.
Demonstrate ability to assess post op patient and determine discharge criteria. After DC, perform post op/call back phone calls.
For GI lab call, demonstrate ability to circulate, assist and scope reprocess for GI cases.
Properly label, order, and process specimen as required per procedure.
Anticipate needs of Procedure or Surgical team.
Demonstrate ability to work in a timely manner to meet Procedure/OR start times.
Maintain established infection control standards.
Must maintain and uphold organizations service excellence standards.
Communicate effectively with other departments to provide seamless continuum of care.
Participate in End of Day/closing department duties to include cleaning and restocking rooms. Quality Log maintenance.
