About The Position

The Registered Nurse shall be responsible for planning, supervising and evaluating the nursing care of essential functions of patients and for correlating the nursing process in the pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative phases of the patient’s surgical experience. General Responsibilities: Observe professional ethics in maintaining confidential information acquired concerning the personal, financial, medical, or employment status or patients of Bradley Medical Center and their families. Must follow and enforce accepted safety practices for patients and hospital. Participate in Performance Improvement activities. Communicate in an acceptable and easily understood manner. Develops, implements, and updates plan of care. Educates and adheres to patient bill of rights. To excel in meeting the standards of peri-operative clinical practice and professional performance.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing as evidenced by verification of state licensure.
  • Has completed appropriate training by means of education, competency skills check off and certifications.
  • Current Tennessee or Compact State registered nurse license required.
  • Must maintain BLS.
  • ACLS and PALS required within 30 days of assignment to department.

Nice To Haves

  • Surgery experience preferred.
  • CNOR certification preferred.
