About The Position

OPERATING ROOM: West Penn Hospital’s OR Department has 17 rooms and a wide variety of specialties from robotics, general surgery, bariatrics, women’s health and oncology. Nurses are cross trained to function in all specialties through the course of a 6-month orientation. The Registered Nurse is fully responsible for all actions as a licensed nurse and is accountable to patients for the quality of care delivered.

Assesses patient reports/records change of condition and notifies physician and/or supervisor and intervenes appropriately and documents accordingly.
