The Operating Room team is looking to add an RN to its group of compassionate caregivers. In this role, you will have the chance to work in a critical care area along with the surgical team. Your main responsibilities will be working in pre-op as well as helping patients recover from surgical orthopedic procedures. This is a high-performing team, which requires a caregiver who is all about teamwork and making safety a priority. Not only will you have the chance to learn within this role, but it is also a steppingstone to other roles in the future, such as ANM or Nurse Manager. Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (ADN or BSN program)
  • Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
  • One year of current acute care RN experience.
  • Will consider licensed military RN experience
  • Critical Care Course for the critical care setting
  • Periop 101 or validated OJT for the Operating room setting
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross upon hire or within one year of employment

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
  • Two years of Operating Room experience OR completion of an Operating Room Residency Program

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care.
  • Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans.
  • Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions.
  • Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
  • Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
  • Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.
  • Educate patients and their families.
  • Working in pre-op.
  • Helping patients recover from surgical orthopedic procedures.
