This downtown Stuart hospital provides top-quality patient care to the communities in and around Martin County on the beautiful St. Lucie River. The caregivers at Martin North Hospital have made it an excellent medical facility and a home away from home. As an RN on the Operating Room team at Martin North Hospital, you will provide care to patients in the pre-procedure area as well as help recover patients from surgical procedures, seeing an average 30-40 cases a week. The RN will use their strong assessment and critical thinking skills to collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team in order to provide the best outcomes for each patient. This role plays an integral part in ensuring patient advocacy and safety. Additionally, the Cleveland Clinic system provides nurses with many professional development resources, including furthering your education, committee participation and online/in-person courses to enhance your skills. A caregiver in this position works days from 6:30AM – 7:00PM. Requirements

Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing (Diploma, ADN or BSN program)
Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
One year of current RN experience in the OR
Will consider licensed military RN experience
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross
Periop 101 or validated OJT for the operating room setting

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
Two years of OR experience or completion of an Operating Room Residency Program

Responsibilities

Provide direct nursing care
Implement, monitor, evaluate, update and revise patient care plans
Monitor, record, document and communicate patients’ conditions
Administer prescribed medications and treatments
Note and carry out physician and nursing orders
Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs
Educate patients and their families
Provide care to patients in the pre-procedure area
Help recover patients from surgical procedures
Collaborate with the multi-disciplinary team in order to provide the best outcomes for each patient
