About The Position

Requirements

• Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing from an accredited NLN/CCNE institution.
• Valid RN License in the State of Arizona upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification required.
• 1 year of RN experience for all Float Positions required.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in outpatient surgery settings.
• Knowledge of stroke symptoms and protocols.

Responsibilities

• Record patients' medical history and symptoms.
• Perform diagnostic tests and analyze results.
• Operate medical equipment and administer treatment and medications.
• Establish or contribute to a care plan for patients.
• Administer medications and therapies, ensuring careful checking of dosages.
• Observe patients and record observations accurately.
• Consult with physicians and other healthcare clinicians as needed.
• Teach patients and their families about managing illnesses or injuries and post-treatment care.
• Provide direction to licensed practical nurses and nursing aides regarding patient care.
• Precept new hire staff and students, assisting them in completing competency skills.
• Evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice and care plans.
