About The Position

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse (RN) to join a healthcare facility in Denver, CO on a 13-week travel assignment. The RN will provide perioperative care for patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. The ideal candidate is proficient in circulating and/or scrub roles, detail-oriented, and committed to ensuring a safe and sterile environment for surgical patients.

Requirements

Current and valid RN license in Colorado (or compact eligibility).
Minimum 1–2 years of recent OR nursing experience in an acute care setting.
Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS); ACLS and CNOR preferred.
Strong knowledge of aseptic techniques, surgical procedures, and perioperative nursing standards.
Excellent communication, organizational, and critical thinking skills.
Compassionate and adaptable approach to patient care.
COVID-19 vaccine and recent tuberculosis test.

Responsibilities

Provide pre-, intra-, and post-operative nursing care to surgical patients.
Prepare operating rooms by ensuring equipment, instruments, and supplies are available and sterile.
Circulate during surgeries by assisting the surgical team and maintaining a sterile environment.
Monitor patients’ vital signs, responses to anesthesia, and overall status during procedures.
Administer prescribed medications, IV fluids, and assist with surgical site preparation.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless care.
Document all assessments, interventions, and surgical outcomes accurately in the medical record.
Adhere to infection control standards, safety protocols, and evidence-based perioperative practices.
