About The Position

A leading healthcare organization in eastern North Carolina is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse (RN) – Oncology to join its inpatient oncology team. This role is responsible for delivering high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to oncology patients, ensuring safety, comfort, and clinical excellence during night shifts.

Requirements

• Nursing Diploma OR ADN/ASN from an accredited school of Nursing
• Active Registered Nurse license in the State of North Carolina
• BLS certification (AHA or ARC)

Nice To Haves

• BSN or MSN from an accredited school of Nursing

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients in accordance with evidence-based practices.
• Perform patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Administer medications, chemotherapy (if applicable), and treatments safely and accurately.
• Monitor patient progress and communicate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary teams.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with regulatory and facility standards.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and changes in patient condition.
