About The Position

Work with the UW Health Breast Center, accredited by the National Accreditation Program for Breast Centers (NAPBC), where you’ll care for inspiring patients using some of the most advanced technology available, including 3D mammography for screening and diagnostics. We are seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) to: Deliver compassionate, coordinated, and multidisciplinary care through a comprehensive, patient-centered approach. Partner with breast cancer patients and their families across all stages of care, including prevention, screening, diagnosis, treatment, and survivorship. Provide education and coordinate follow-up care related to breast imaging and biopsy results. Collaborate closely with a multidisciplinary team including breast surgeons, plastic surgeons, medical oncologists, radiologists, and advanced practice providers. Perform targeted patient assessments during in-person visits and via telephone to support ongoing care needs.

Requirements

  • Graduate of school of nursing Required
  • 6 months of RN experience Required
  • Registration as a registered nurse in the state where employed or licensure in a state in the licensure compact Upon Hire Required
  • Current CPR/BLS certification Upon Hire Required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred
  • Relevant Inpatient RN experience Preferred
  • Ambulatory experience Preferred
  • Relevant oncology experience Preferred
  • Chemotherapy experience Preferred
  • Experience with Venous Access Devices (VADs) and IV skills Preferred
  • Certification in specialty area of practice Preferred
