About The Position

Crescent Hospice is currently seeking a Full Time Weekend On-Call Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team, providing exceptional care and support to hospice patients and their families during their most critical moments. As an On-Call RN, you will play a vital role in identifying patient and family needs, coordinating care, and offering preventative measures and compassionate support. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in nursing or health care preferred.
  • Hold current unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Minimum one (1) year experience as an RN in a medical surgical/acute care setting.
  • Hospice experience is a plus.
  • Must be computer proficient in typing and various programs, including a background in EMR.
  • Possess and maintain current CPR certification if required by state.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to a variety of patient needs, from urgent to routine, providing unwavering support in critical moments.
  • Conduct comprehensive assessments of patient's physical, emotional, social, and spiritual needs.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of care provided in the patient's home and within agency and regulatory standards.
  • Provide support for families, sharing knowledge and expertise to guide them in caring for their terminally ill loved ones.
