About The Position
At Hopestone Hospice, On-Call Nurses provide crucial support to patients and families during nights, weekends, and urgent situations. This role is for compassionate RNs who thrive in critical moments and are looking for meaningful PRN work with flexibility and purpose.
Requirements
- Active RN license (TX)
- CPR Certification
- Valid Driver’s License
- Valid Auto Insurance
- Strong assessment and critical thinking skills
- Comfort working independently in the field
- Compassion, reliability, and excellent communication
Nice To Haves
- Hospice or home health experience
- At least 2 years of Hospice RN experience
- HomeCare HomeBase experience
Responsibilities
- Respond to after-hours and weekend patient needs
- Provide skilled nursing care, symptom management, and crisis intervention
- Support patients and families through end-of-life care with compassion and clarity
- Coordinate with the hospice team to ensure seamless care
- Deliver education and emotional support to caregivers
