About The Position

Mountain Valley Hospice & Palliative Care is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide afterhours coverage for patients and families across our Surry County service area. This unique position allows you to balance professional impact with personal time—support patients during critical moments while enjoying flexibility during non-call hours.

Requirements

• Current RN license in NC (multistate preferred).
• BLS certification.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Hospice or home health experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Respond to calls from patients, families, and facilities after business hours.
• Provide triage by phone and conduct in-person visits when clinically indicated.
• Deliver treatments such as wound care, medication administration, and pain management.
• Perform admission assessments as needed and ensure timely documentation.
• Communicate with the interdisciplinary care team to coordinate ongoing care.
