About The Position

Corewell Health is offering up to $10,000 as a sign on bonus for this opportunity! About the unit 2D Observation is a 21-bed unit at Blodgett who cares for a variety of patient populations. This team collaborates well and is proficient in delivering care in a timely manner. The observation operates as an extension of the emergency department caring for patients who are hospitalized for less than 48 hours. Being a part of this dynamic team allows you to strengthen your critical thinking skills and provide excellent patient care. Some examples of the patient populations treated on the Observation unit include cellulitis, CHF, asthma, kidney stones, and TIA. Scope of work Delivers nursing care responsibly and accountably as described professionally by the American Nurses Association (ANA) and legally by the State of Michigan. Demonstrates competency through the critical thinking model known as the nursing process. This includes assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Upholds the standards of professional performance as described by the ANA. This includes ethical practice, culturally congruent practice, communication, collaboration, leadership, education, evidence-based practice and research, quality of practice, professional practice evaluation, resource utilization and environmental health. Strives to achieve optimal outcomes.

Requirements

• Associates in Nursing Required
• Bachelors in Nursing Required within 5 years
• MI Registered Nurse (RN) Required
• AHA or ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) Required within 90 days
