Requirements

• Degree from an Accredited School of Nursing (Required)
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (Preferred)
• Minimum one year of acute care experience in Mother Baby (Required)
• Mother-Baby experience (Preferred)
• Registered Nurse (Required)
• Basic Life Support certification (Required Upon Hire)
• NRP certification within six months of hire or transfer date (Required)
• Demonstrated knowledge of age-specific principles of growth and development (Required)
• Basic computer skills (Required)

Nice To Haves

• Specialty certification (Preferred)
• Antepartum experience (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care needs.
• Document patient care in the healthcare record according to established standards.
• Direct and delegate care to other team members based on their education and demonstrated competence.
• Ensure professional effectiveness through ongoing education and professional development.
• Participate in the development and maintenance of hospital policies, procedures, and quality improvement programs.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
