Requirements
- Completion of a Registered Nurse program.
- One year of experience in a nursing environment.
- Registered Nurse in the state of PA.
Nice To Haves
- Three years of experience in geriatric nursing.
Responsibilities
- Start your shift by receiving a comprehensive shift report to ensure seamless care continuity.
- Assume leadership by coordinating the care of residents with appropriate personnel.
- Maintain accountability by accurately counting narcotics with the off-going nurse.
- Adhere to facility, state, and federal regulations while administering scheduled medications.
- Perform scheduled treatments, wound assessments, and documentation as per facility policy.
- Document vital information on residents, including 7-day assessments for MDS documentation, alert charting, monthly summaries, and incidents/accidents.
- Participate in admission assessments, transfers, deaths, physician orders, and prepare for physician rounds.
- Your regular attendance is essential to our team's success.
- Communicate resident or staff issues to appropriate personnel.
- Attend meetings and in-services as required.
- The 11 pm – 7 am nurse is responsible for neighborhood medication sheet re-caps.
