Shipley Living is recruiting for a hospitality focused RN Nurse Supervisor to join our team Full Time during the 1st shift (7am-3:30pm)!!! The Nurse Supervisor is responsible for the overall coordination of care for assigned Nursing Units, to include all aspects of resident care.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, with passed board exam as designated by the State Board of Health.
  • Currently licensed with the Indiana State Board of Nurses Registration and Education as a Registered Nurse (RN).
  • Thorough knowledge of clinical nursing and SNF Regulations, as well as practical knowledge of nursing skills and standards.
  • Knowledge of the principles of management and supervision.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises and participates as needed in providing care for residents in accordance with nursing standards of care, facility policy & procedure, and pertinent regulations; including covering nursing shifts on the Medication Cart as needed.
  • Responsible for ensuring that nursing personnel complete assessments for each resident during each shift by making rounds in accordance with facility standards, and timely and accurate reporting of changes in conditions to all concerned parties.
  • Responsible for ensuring that nursing personnel complete the timely documentation of nursing care, administration of medications, incident reports, physician orders, and all other aspects of care in accordance with facility and regulatory standards.
  • Actively participates in Quality Assurance by tracking and analyzing data, and implementing plans of action as indicated.
  • Completes regular compliance audits and “rounds” to ensure facility units, resident rooms, and all care areas meet facility standards, nursing standards of practice, and regulatory requirements. Rounds will include a review of each Resident and Resident Room at least daily during the work week. Audits of Med Rooms & Med Carts should occur at least monthly.
