The RN Nurse Supervisor for Neurology will plan, organize, and supervise all clinical staff functions on a daily basis to ensure quality patient care is provided in a physician office or urgent care setting. This position requires performing all nursing duties as needed, including care for patients across various age groups.

  • Supervises and coordinates the daily functions of all clinical staff, providing guidance and assistance as necessary.
  • Completes and maintains schedule for clinical staff ensuring adequate coverage is available at all times while effectively managing overtime.
  • Provides orientation, education and training for new employees.
  • Implements ongoing continuing education and training for existing staff as needed.
  • Interviews and selects candidates for vacant positions in collaboration with management.
  • Acts as a patient experience advocate and leader.
  • Oversees all care coordination activities performed by the clinical staff.
  • Completes annual performance evaluations for assigned staff.
  • Conducts routine clinical staff meetings and communicates regularly with staff.
  • Provides clinical advice based on clinical judgments and triage protocols.
  • Administers injections and medications as prescribed by the provider.
  • Prepares and assists providers with various procedures and exams.
  • Performs Point of Care Testing and patient monitoring.
  • Collects blood or other laboratory specimens.
  • Assists with test tracking and monitoring overdue results.
  • Maintains and cleans medical instruments and equipment after each procedure.
  • Participates in daily huddles with the provider.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) issued by the PA State Board of Nursing.
  • Three to five years of nursing experience.
  • CPR Certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Prior supervisory experience in a physician office or urgent care setting.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) required within two years of placement in position for Pain Management.
  • Urgent Care positions require BLS and ACLS certification.
  • PALS certification preferred for Urgent Care positions.
