About The Position

Join Emory Healthcare's Fall 2025 New Graduate RN Residency Program, designed for August 2025 Graduates! This program offers a unique opportunity for new graduate RNs to gain diverse clinical experience by rotating through five specialty areas: Primary Care, Internal Medicine, Dermatology, Endocrinology, and Neurology. The program includes up to 24 weeks of comprehensive orientation with a dedicated preceptor, allowing you to acclimate to nursing practice and Ambulatory Services. After 11 months, you will have the opportunity to apply for a Nurse Clinician position within Ambulatory Services. This is a full-time Resident RN position with tailored training based on your chosen specialties and location, utilizing the Vizient/AACN Nurse Residency Program.

Requirements

  • Possess a current RN license by the start date of the program in Georgia or a Compact State.
  • Successfully pass your boards, with results verified by noon on the Wednesday prior to the start date.
  • Hold an active Basic Cardiac Life Support (BLS) certification, obtained through the American Heart Association, valid for at least 30 days after the start date.
  • Provide a comprehensive resume detailing clinical rotation hours and specific units worked in.
  • Graduate from a college or university accredited by CCNE or ACEN.

Nice To Haves

  • Clinical experience, externships, or senior practicums in Critical Care Units.
  • Completion of specific courses as part of the nursing curriculum.

Responsibilities

  • Participate in a 12-month transition-to-practice program.
  • Rotate weekly between five specialty areas: Primary Care, Internal Medicine, Dermatology, Endocrinology, and Neurology.
  • Engage in general orientation activities including classes and online modules.
  • Work closely with a dedicated preceptor during the orientation period.
  • Apply for transfer into a vacant Nurse Clinician position within Ambulatory Services after 11 months.
  • Support patient care in various clinical environments.
