RN NURSE NAVIGATOR (FT) - NEW POSITION
About The Position
The Nurse Navigator provides coordinated, patient-centered care across the continuum for patients undergoing elective orthopedic and spine procedures. This role serves as a clinical liaison between patients, surgeons, anesthesia, Surgical Pre-Authorization (SPA), and interdisciplinary teams to ensure readiness for surgery, compliance with clinical recommendations, and optimal surgical outcomes. The Nurse Navigator supports patients through pre-operative preparation, education, and coordination of required clearances while promoting quality, safety, and patient satisfaction.
Requirements
- Current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
- Minimum of 3 years of clinical nursing experience , preferably in: Perioperative services, Orthopedics, Spine surgery, Case management or care coordination, AND Strong knowledge of elective surgical workflows and pre-operative requirements.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Experience in a specialty or orthopedic hospital setting.
- Familiarity with surgical pre-authorization processes.
- Experience with patient education and care navigation roles
