Benchmark is hiring for a Registered Nurse (RN), Nurse Manager to supervise and ensure quality care delivery and appropriate case management within the Agency scope of services and Nurse Practice Act. The Nurse Manager will supervise health services for crisis services by providing staff training and direct intervention to meet the health care needs of the clients we serve. Requirements

  • Nursing License (RN) and Driver’s License.
  • 5 years of supervisory experience
  • Experience working with individuals with IDD
  • CPR certification
  • CPI certified

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct monitoring, assessment, and staff training of health care services including specific interventions, treatment protocols, improvement of health care outcomes, etc.
  • Manages and directs a team of nurses ensuring safe, effective, and appropriate services.
  • Meets with clinical staff on a regular basis to provide guidance and information related to specific issues.
  • Provides direction to nurses to assure that client needs are met and services are provided according to the client’s health care needs.
  • Assists clinical staff in establishing priorities, setting goals, and evaluating progress toward goals.
  • Facilitates problem-solving sessions to enable staff to resolve client and/or reimbursement/prior authorization issues.
  • Assists in the development of competency-based training and maintains a log to monitor annual healthcare training.
  • Assists Director of Quality Management with the development and implementation of group crisis healthcare related policies.
  • Function as a liaison and advocate for the clients when dealing with physicians, psychiatrists, hospitals, and consultants.
  • Provide new employee orientation (CPI and healthcare), on-going health care training and monitoring.
  • Ensures compliance with self-administration of medications policy.
  • Complete daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and yearly paperwork and assessments of health care needs.
  • Provide guidance during client emergency medical situations.
  • Monitor and maintain clients medical file to ensure that all documentation is current.
  • Facilitate communication between all medical service providers, IDT, and supervisor to ensure quality of care.
  • Must report any criminal activity including suspected abuse, neglect, or exploitation to law enforcement/supervisor or department head.
