About The Position

Rydal Park, a premier Life Plan Community located in Jenkintown, is hiring an RN Nurse Manager to join our Health Center team! Under limited supervision, responsible for the nursing needs of residents, while actively incorporating our "Philosophy for Person-Directed Care." Ensures a safe and healthy environment for residents, staff, and visitors to participate in the resident's daily life rhythm. Supervises and coordinates nursing services, trains team members, is accountable for the work unit's adherence to established policies and procedures, as well as maintaining medical records. Develops assignments in coordination with the care partners and supervise team members that are accountable for resident care and satisfaction. Starting Salary is $95,000 and up depending on experience Monday-Friday with rotating weekend and holiday on-call A day in the life may include: Facilitates nursing care provided to all residents and includes residents in decision-making processes; Assesses resident's needs at the time of admission and continually evaluates residents' condition during the duration of their stay and promotes the highest functional level of independence possible (keeping in compliance with state and federal regulations, and the community's safety procedures); Makes frequent rounds and utilizes the nursing process to identify resident conditions that require further evaluation and treatment by a physician; Reports significant medical changes to the relevant Team Members, Physician, DON, HSA, and designated family members as appropriate; Accurately and completely performs direct nursing services, such as medication administration, treatments, personal care, and other nursing procedures; Accurately receives documents and transcribes Physician Orders with the appropriate follow-through in a timely fashion, specifically advocating resident safety; Completes risk management, progress notes, assessments, weekly summaries, and care plans; In the supervisory role, the Nurse Supervisor takes responsibility to lead the CNA, LVN, and RN team and ensure that all procedures are followed during emergency situations; Supervises and directs care partners by providing support, encouragement, and direction as appropriate;

Requirements

• Current RN license in the state for which applying
• BS Degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and related professional experience
• Minimum of 1-year professional managerial experience in a related field
• Current CPR certification
• Prior nursing experience: senior care, skilled nurse, post-acute or sub-acute care preferred
