About The Position

RN Nurse Manager providing leadership to our Operating Room and Endoscopy teams at Magnet Designated Providence St. Joseph Hospital of Orange in Orange, CA. You will oversee 14 Operating Rooms, 3 Cardiovascular Operating Rooms and 3 Endoscopy Suites. Responsible for planning, directing and managing the nursing care delivered to a designated patient population on one or more nursing units. Oversees the 24-operation of the patient care unit with accountability for leadership, budget preparation and overall fiscal management, staffing, planning, employee relations, patient satisfaction, practice guidelines for specialty, organizing and controlling. Role models proactive, collaborative working relationships across all hospital functions in an interdisciplinary approach to patient care. Develops programs, policies, procedures, and standards of care to ensure patient's nursing care needs are assessed, evaluated, and met. Requirements

  • External hires required to have Master's Degree in Nursing or area of practice. Internal transfers within SJO will obtain Masters in Nursing or area of practice within 3 years of hire. Bachelors Degree in Nursing acceptable for Current SJO Nurse Managers.
  • Upon hire: California Registered Nurse License
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • 5 years recent experience as RN in acute hospital setting.
  • 2 years leadership experience.
