We have served the residents of Harris County and surrounding Houston areas since 2007. We specialize in same-day endoscopy procedures. The staff perform over 900 cases a month. Bay Area Houston Endoscopy Center is an ASGE Center of Excellence. We have have achieved the highest quality measures in endoscopic care as established by the American Society of Gastrointestinal Endoscopy (ASGE). Seeking a Pre op/PACU registered nurse manager in our ambulatory surgery center who provides clinical management and expertise over the Pre op and PACU staff to ensure patients receive high quality, efficient care. Requirements

  • Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Higher degree in Nursing Required
  • 1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in Endo, PACU
  • Active RN license as required by state of employment
  • BCLS Certification upon employment. online certification not acceptable
  • ACLS required
  • PALS if require

  • Leadership Experience highly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise all areas of care at the surgery Center
  • Establish and maintain an effective and supportive working relationship with your Administrator
  • Ensure that day-to-day operations are conducted in accordance with clinical practice standards and policies of the center
  • Ensure sufficient staffing daily by notifying your team of scheduling changes
  • Participate in the monitoring and evaluation of nursing care provided
  • Accessible to your staff by providing breaks, ensuring coverage for meal breaks, late cases and staffing shortages
  • Monitor your clinical area to ensure materials are provided
  • Facilitate effective and efficient transition between surgical procedures
  • Delegate, coach, mentor and handle conflict resolution with your team
  • Ability to build trust and gain the respect of your team through effective leadership
