About The Position

Recruit Secure is collaborating with a large (200+ beds), Skilled Nursing Facility (SNF) that is seeking a dynamic RN Nurse – Educator. The Nurse Educator will be responsible to develop, plan and implement a variety of educational programs for the Nursing staff (e.g., safety, infection control, handling hazardous infectious materials, etc.). Additionally, the Educator will be an important part of the Nursing and Quality Administrative team and participate in monitoring performance and outcomes, gathering data for assessments, and driving enhancements to QAPI and other clinical, staff, and patient initiatives. The successful candidate will be passionate about training and maintaining professional and technical knowledge and participate in workshops, seminars, and professional societies.

Requirements

  • Current certification as a Registered Nurse (RN) is required.
  • at least 2 years of Assistant Director of Nursing experience in Skilled Nursing Homes.
  • CPR certification and CPR Trainer cert (or willingness to certify)
  • Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government agencies/personnel, and the general public.
  • Willingness to seek out new methods and principles and incorporate them into existing practices.
  • Participate in workshops and seminars
  • Knowledgeable of computer systems, system applications, and other office equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for assessing and evaluating the needs of the Nursing Staff
  • Plans, develops, and delivers a wide variety of clinical educational in-service programs for existing and new staff.
  • Manages curriculum, training materials, and programs for staff development including suggesting enhancements to existing programs.
  • Provides support to the Nursing community and supports ongoing initiatives.
  • Responsible for seeking effective methods and content to ensure the delivery of high-quality clinical education
  • Keeps up-to-date on changes in healthcare technology, trends, and regulations and keeps staff updated.
  • Acts as a resource for staff
  • Provide leadership in formulating facility goals and objectives for in-service education and orientation programs.
  • Participate in professional associations, activities, and programs in order to stay current
