About The Position

This position provides private duty nursing from Tuesday & Saturday 7pm-7am. The role involves accepting assignments from the R.N. Case Manager and providing nursing care through the utilization of home assessments, nursing diagnoses, and physician-approved care plans. The nurse will perform treatments ordered by the physician and delegated by the R.N. Case Manager, observe signs and symptoms, and report them accordingly. The nurse will also promote client and caregiver independence in self-care and utilize electronic documentation of client care while complying with agency policies regarding documentation and safety guidelines.

Requirements

• Current State RN License.
• Holds a current Licensed Practical Nurse license in Ohio.
• Has a minimum of one year of nursing experience.
• Has current CPR certification.
• Has excellent communication, organizational, and human relations skills.
• Is able to function with minimal supervision.
• Is able to manage multiple projects/changing priorities.
• Is able to employ critical thinking skills.

Responsibilities

• Accepts assignments of clients from the R.N. Case Manager.
• Provides nursing care through the utilization of the home assessment, nursing diagnoses, and physician-approved care plans.
• Performs treatment(s) ordered by the physician and delegated by the R.N. Case Manager.
• Observes signs and symptoms and reports them to the R.N. Case Manager.
• Notes changes in physical or emotional status of clients.
• Promotes client and caregiver independence in self-care.
• Utilizes electronic documentation of client care; complies with Agency policies regarding timeliness in submission of documentation and synchronization of data.
• Follows Agency policies regarding universal precautions and safety guidelines.
• Fulfills other assignments as requested by the R.N. Case Manager, VP of Clinical Services, or Director of Professional Services.
