About The Position

Baptist Health Floyd is seeking a full-time Registered Nurse for the NICU, working nights (7pm-7am) for 36 hours weekly, with a 12-hour on-call rotation every 4 weeks and a weekend and holiday rotation. The RN will be responsible for direct comprehensive nursing care for patients from admission to discharge, functioning as an on-shift team member to meet the needs of patients, families, and co-workers. The NICU provides Level II care to infants as early as 32 weeks' gestation or 1,500 grams and above, and is comprised of 6 rooms. Nurses in the NICU treat Vapotherm and bubble CPAP ventilated patients up to 24 hours, administer PPN, manage umbilical lines and central lines, and provide NAS monitoring and care. The unit also accepts readmit infants from home for up to 30 days. There are three Neonatal NPs on staff, with at least one available 24/7.

Requirements

  • Current Indiana or compact state RN License
  • BLS for Healthcare Providers required
  • NRP certification required (obtained within 6 months of hire)
  • S.T.A.B.L.E certification required (obtained within 1 year of hire)

Nice To Haves

  • Previous NICU nursing experience preferred
