Join Our NICU Team at Fairview Health Services – Burnsville, MN Fairview Health Services is seeking compassionate and driven Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our dynamic Level III Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Fairview Ridges Hospital, located in Burnsville, Minnesota—just 20 minutes south of downtown Minneapolis near the intersection of I-35E and I-35W. Now, we’re looking for nurses who are ready to grow their careers in a fast-paced, rewarding environment caring for our tiniest patients. Schedule: This position will work 60 hours per pay period, nights, 12 hour shifts with every third weekend (Friday, Saturday, Sunday). Unit Size: Up to 23 beds Patient Population: High-risk and premature newborns, including those born as early as 28 weeks gestation Role of the RN: Provide advanced, family-centered neonatal care Monitor and manage complex conditions in premature and critically ill infants Attends deliveries, providing stabilization and support during the transitional phase of a newborn. Transports newborns to Special Care Nursery and admits newborns requiring specialized nursing care and close observation. Provides care for newborns and premature infants, requiring specialized nursing care and close observation. Performs and/or assists with procedures. The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.
