  • Required to work throughout the South Broward Hospital District in specialty units treating a diverse range of patients under changing circumstances and challenges in different settings.
  • Two (2) years of nursing experience in field of specialty.
  • NRP required for NICU and L&D RNs

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrates flexibility and competency to provide patient care throughout the South Broward Hospital District to a variety of patient populations.
  • Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources.
  • Monitors, documents, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.
  • Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient admission, transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluates learning needs of the patient and/or family; provides patient and family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
  • Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel.
  • May precept student nurses and new hires.
