About The Position

Join Baylor Scott and White Medical Center - Lake Pointe as a Registered Nurse and be part of something better! Our NICU unit is a fast-paced environment that includes high acuity patients. Are you looking to increase your knowledge base? Our NICU leadership team fosters an environment that supports learning, mentoring, and building every team member. The patient population includes neonates with patient ratios of 1:2 or 1:3 depending on acuity. The department has a Level 3 NICU designation and offers opportunities for cross-training to the New Family Unit (Post-Partum/Well-Baby Nursery) and L&D. RN's can also be involved in improvement projects, Shared Governance, department committees, and councils. Everyone's voice matters!

Requirements

• Completion of an accredited nursing course or at least 2 years of relevant experience.
• Field of Study: Nursing.
• A minimum of 2 years in a relevant nursing role.
• Hold a BLS certificate or obtain within 30 days of starting.
• Valid Registered Nurse License.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a Level 3 NICU setting.
• Certification in neonatal nursing.
• Previous involvement in shared governance or nursing committees.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing care to neonates in the NICU.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions and report changes to the healthcare team.
• Participate in improvement projects and shared governance.
• Collaborate with the NICU leadership team to foster a supportive learning environment.
• Engage in cross-training opportunities within the hospital.
