About The Position

Join our team as a Level IV NICU RN at the University of Minnesota Masonic Children’s Hospital! Our compassionate, innovative approach has repeatedly received national recognition. We are proud to be the only academic children’s hospital in Minnesota, providing medical services in more than 50 specialty areas. The NICU is recognized as a Level IV NICU — the highest level of care for neonates. We are a designated March of Dimes NICU Family Support® program and have a Neuro NICU for babies with neurologic conditions. This position will be working 60 hours every two weeks on the night shift, 12 hour shifts and every third weekend. Provides care to patients with complex NICU needs and performs advanced monitoring using current technology.

Requirements

• MN RN License
• BLS certification
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 6 months of hire

Nice To Haves

• BSN or BAN
• Certification in related specialty

Responsibilities

• Provides developmentally appropriate care to infants born 22 weeks and above
• Cares for surgical patients with congenital anomalies, intubated patients and patients with tracheostomies
• Performs advanced monitoring using current technology
• Utilizes High Frequency ventilation, Total Body Cooling (TBC), Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), and Peritoneal Dialysis (PD)
• Manages central arterial lines/monitoring and other venous lines
