About The Position

The NICU is recognized as a Level IV NICU — the highest level of care for neonates. We are a designated March of Dimes NICU Family Support® program and have a Neuro NICU for babies with neurologic conditions. This position will be working 72 hours every two weeks on the day shift, 12 hour shifts and every third weekend. Provides care to patients with complex NICU needs. Performs advanced monitoring using current technology.

Requirements

• Currently working in the NICU or NICU experience within the past year.
• MN RN License.
• BLS certification.

Nice To Haves

• BSN or BAN.
• Certification in related specialty.
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provides developmentally appropriate care to infants born 22 weeks and above.
• Cares for surgical patients with congenital anomalies, intubated patients and patients with tracheostomies.
• Utilizes advanced monitoring technology including High Frequency ventilation, Total Body Cooling (TBC), Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), and Peritoneal Dialysis (PD).
• Manages central arterial lines/monitoring and other venous lines.
