There are still lots of open positions. Let's find the one that's right for you.

This position allows applicants to apply to all hospitals in the Kaiser Northwest Region with our Sunnyside and Westside Medical Centers for the December, 2 Cohort 6 of the Nurse Residency Program. Applicants accepted into this training position will enter the KPNW Nurse Residency Program. Before applying, please read all the following information carefully. NOTE: This position is only for nurses with less than 6 months of paid RN work experience. During the interview process, applicants will have the ability to indicate which hospital(s) and unit(s) they wish to apply to. The Nurse Residency Program is designed to support new graduate registered nurses in their transition to practice. It includes a clinical orientation program and clinical training, which consists of classroom experiences, live, in-person and virtual classes. These classes are taught by Kaiser Permanente Nursing Professional Development Consultants and Subject Matter Experts, incorporating lectures, simulations, skills labs, and other experiences to support the RN resident's transition to the practice of nursing. Classes are held during daytime hours. The RN resident will be paired with an RN preceptor during the competency-based orientation and will work the preceptor's schedule, which may include days, evenings, or nights. The program also includes a 12-month Professional Development Program, which is mandatory for Nurse Residents and supports peer-based learning across clinical specialties. RN residents will be required to complete an Evidence-based Practice Project and fill out anonymous surveys to measure their transition-to-practice experience. Attendance at all clinical and classroom activities is required, and the RN resident refrains from scheduling time off during the training program, except for protected leave such as FMLA or other protected leaves. The program is designed to meet the individualized orientation needs of the new graduate registered nurse who desires to work in an acute care hospital setting. Under the general guidance of a trained preceptor, new graduate nurses will collaborate with other members of the health care team, learn to use clinical judgment skills to diagnose and treat human responses to actual or potential health problems. New graduate nurses will assume responsibility for assessing, planning, directing, providing, and evaluating nursing care for patients and coordinating nursing care activities with other health care disciplines prior to completion of the clinical portion of the residency program.
