Position Overview: The Registered Nurse provides and supervises nursing care as established by CMH standards of care. The Nurse is responsible for the delivery of coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients within a patient care unit. The Nurse utilizes the nursing process in assuring comprehensive nursing care to a wide variety of patients and families. They are responsible for the day-to-day management of the related clinical activities. They supervise and direct activities of various levels of assigned nursing and ancillary personnel, utilizing professional discretion and independent judgment. This is a full-time benefited position; the program is a 12-month commitment. The 12-week preceptorship portion of the program is divided into the four areas listed below and facilitated by content experts. Nurse Residents will have team training opportunities with Graduate Medical Education (GME), and work with ancillary departments to reinforce collaborative practice. The program continues with monthly seminars (Nursing Seminars/Grand Rounds) ending at graduation! This comprehensive program is designed for the New Graduate RN starting a career in the adult acute care environment. Hospital Orientation will be held July 20, 2026 (0800-1630), Central Nursing Orientation will be July 21, 2026, and Epic EHR training is July 22, 2026. The program begins on July 23, 2026.
