About The Position

Requirements

  • Current California Registered Nurse License.
  • Current Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support.
  • EKG course or equivalent knowledge within first 30 days of employment.
  • Current Advanced Cardiac Life Support within first 30 days of employment.
  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification Course within first 30 days of employment.
  • Less than 6 months experience for this new graduate position.
  • BSN.
  • Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.
  • Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.

Nice To Haves

  • ONS Oncology Certification Course (Medical 1).
  • ONC Orthopaedic Nurse Certified.
  • Knowledge of University and medical center organizations, policies, procedures and forms.

Responsibilities

  • Providing patient care in a safe and effective manner.
  • Delegating tasks and duties to team members.
  • Synthesizing patient information.
  • Assessing and providing care appropriate to the age of the patients served.
  • Creating and updating the patient plan of care.
  • Ensuring that all physician orders are carried out appropriately.
