About The Position

Work Schedule: 60% FTE, evening/night shift primarily to be scheduled 3:00 pm - 11:30 pm with a two in six weekend rotation. Holiday rotation required. You will work at University Hospital in Madison, WI. Pay: Additional components of compensation include impressive shift differentials - $4/hour evening, $5/hour night and $4.25/hour weekend differential as applicable for hours worked. Bring your passion in caring for others to our 18-bed Neuro ICU , a high acuity unit that serves as a hub of intensive care for our Comprehensive Stroke Center at the #1 hospital in Wisconsin! We are seeking an experienced inpatient Registered Nurse (RN) to join our remarkable team! About the unit: Fast-paced unit that specializes in the care of critically ill adult patients with a variety of neuro diagnoses including, but not limited to: stroke, subarachnoid hemorrhage, surgical resections and trauma. Provide strong critical thinking skills along with specialized interventions and procedures such as hemodynamic monitoring and hypothermia. Work alongside a team of motivated nurses where nurse-driven collaboration and partnership with nationally certified physicians and other members of the interdisciplinary care team is valued. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) Preferred Work Experience Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health’s Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit. Requirements

  • Six (6) months nursing experience or current participant in UW Health’s Nurse Residency Program with successful completion of the Nurse Residency Orientation on unit/similar unit.
  • Licensed as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State of WI or holds a license issued by a jurisdiction that has adopted the nurse licensure compact Upon Hire Required
  • Current CPR/BLS Certification Upon Hire Required
  • ACLS within 6 months Required
