About The Position

ATC Healthcare is seeking a skilled and adaptable NICU Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment in Nashville, Tennessee, at a public hospital transitioning toward an LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery, Postpartum) care model. NICU travelers will assist with cross-training efforts and provide coverage for Delivery and Mother/Baby units during this transition. This role requires strong neonatal experience, flexibility, and the willingness to float across units as needed. Nurses must be comfortable in a dynamic environment that includes caring for incarcerated patients and working in a combined NICU Level II and well-baby nursery setting. This is a unique opportunity for NICU nurses who are confident, adaptable, and comfortable functioning independently in high-responsibility clinical situations.

Requirements

Active Tennessee RN license or multi-state compact license (required at submission).
Minimum 1 year of NICU experience required.
Must have L&D experience and willingness to float to other units.
Comfortable working with incarcerated patient populations.
BLS
ACLS
CPI (MAB accepted in lieu of CPI)
NRP
STABLE

Responsibilities

Provide specialized NICU and neonatal nursing care.
Attend high-risk deliveries and function as baby nurse.
Provide care for neonates in NICU II and well-baby nursery.
Manage neonatal ventilation (AC, PC, SIMV, CPAP, BiPAP, PEEP).
Perform blood glucose monitoring, IV therapy, phlebotomy, and medication administration.
Support delivery coverage during LDRP cross-training.
Float to Delivery, Mother/Baby, and other units as needed.
Function independently in emergency situations when attending deliveries.
Provide care for incarcerated patients when applicable.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
