Fairview Hospital's Newborn Intensive Care Unit (NICU) provides care to infants that need treatment to recover from severe illnesses and plays a vital role in nursing infants to thrive and achieve health weight post-birth. As an RN on our team, you will participate in a residency core curriculum and provide direct nursing care, alongside a coach, in accordance with established policies, procedures and protocols of the healthcare organization.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing.
• Current licensure as Registered Nurse (RN).
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) within one year of hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through American Heart Association (AHA).
• One year of experience in an acute care hospital setting OR licensed military RN experience.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Adult ICU or Medical/Surgical experience.
• NICU experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care to neonates in accordance with established healthcare organization policies, procedures and protocols.
• Implement and monitor patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patient condition as appropriate.
• Serve as a primary coordinator of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• Note and carry out physician and nursing orders.
• Assess and coordinate patient's discharge planning needs with members of the healthcare team.
