About The Position

Founded in 1955, Dignity Health - Northridge Hospital Medical Center is a 394-bed, acute care, nonprofit hospital located. Serving over 80,000 patients annually, the hospital offers a full complement of services including a Level II Trauma Center, heart care, cancer care and women’s health. It is the only pediatric trauma center in the San Fernando Valley. One California W e are not currently accepting new graduate or new to speciality applications. Our next posting period will be July 1, 2026 for an October 16, 2026 start date. Positions can be found under National Resident RN (<12 months experience as an RN) or RN Transition/Fellowship (>12 months experience as an RN. The new NICU now occupies level 5 of the F-Tower for a total of 9000 square feet, compared to about 4500 square feet in the previous unit. After rebuilding the new NICU Unit, several improvements were made to make the Unit more conducive to privacy as well as individual space. The new NICU Unit contains a total of 17 beds. These beds are grouped into two pods of four beds each, seven individual NICU rooms, and two isolation rooms. Each individual NICU room estimates between 150-190 square feet. The new pods are approximately 600 square feet. As our Registered Nurse (RN), in the NICU you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery. Requirements

• Minimum 1 year experience in NICU
• Minimum one (1) year current acute care registered nursing experience in specialty area
• RN License Nurse: CA
• AHA Basic Life Support
• AHA Neonatal Resuscitation Program
• Fire Safety, within 90 Days

Nice To Haves

• Experience with EHR (Cerner, MediTech, etc)

Responsibilities

• Applies clinical knowledge and expertise for coordinating patient care by regularly planning and evaluating the care of patients.
• Establishes and maintains professional and collaborative relationships with other staff members, physicians, patients, patient family members, and the public as appropriate, while assuring confidentiality of all patient information.
