Schedule: Fulltime What You’ll Do Working under the direction of, and in collaboration with the Director, Assistant Director, Physicians and other staff will develop the department's mission, vision, values, goals, policies, and procedures. Will be responsible to ensure pre-surgical history and physical assessments of patients, which shall include but not be limited to, physical, emotional, clinical, and psychosocial needs of patients and families and findings of such will be communicated appropriately to the surgeon and consulting physicians. In collaboration with the physician, patient and family education will be provided concerning the surgical procedure, pre-operative requirements (including, but not limited to, home medications and required pre-operative preparation), expectations of the hospital stay, and follow-up care at home.

Requirements

  • Current Missouri Registered Nurse license or current Registered Nurse license from a compact state. If a compact license is held, it must be in the nurses state of residence.
  • AHA BLS for Healthcare Providers within 30 days.
  • NIH Stroke Scale Certification within 180 days.
  • Perioperative RN Competency Day annually by transcript due date.
