Our pediatric specialty clinic is looking for an RN navigator to join the team! This role will help coordinate care to ensure families and patients have the treatment, education and resources necessary to meet their needs within the Behavioral and Developmental Clinic. This department treats patients with Attention-deficit and hyperactivity disorder, autism spectrum disorder, behavioral concerns, and behavioral sleep concerns. This is a great opportunity to work in a clinic setting with a variety of patients! Scheduled is Monday through Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, no weekends or holidays. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing strongly preferred in Bemidji and Rapid City.
  • Required in Fargo and Sioux Falls (Sanford USD Medical Center and Clinics).
  • Required in Bismarck or enrolled and starting a Bachelor's degree program within one year of hire.
  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
  • Minimum of two years' clinical experience preferred.
  • Currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing.
  • Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.

Responsibilities

  • Integrates health care for patients/clients across the continuum of care.
  • Collaborates with healthcare team and other professionals to coordinate and ensure timely sequencing of care.
  • Supports patients/clients and other family members by removing barriers of care.
  • Seeks to evaluate outcomes based on an integration among established clinical, financial and utilization data.
  • Functions in structured and unstructured health care settings.
  • Utilizes independent nursing judgment when integrating health care.
  • Knowledge of and utilizes appropriate age-related patient care protocols.
  • May serve as a key link between providers, clinics, insurance concerns, communication, inpatient floors and outside facilities.
  • Establishes and maintains good interpersonal relationships.
  • Monitors, evaluates and trends patient responses utilizing structured care methodologies.
  • Ability to solve problems, identify and implement process improvements when needed.
  • Self-motivated, working with little direction.
  • Facilitates groups, multidisciplinary teams, and implements best practices.
