About The Position
The Pulmonary Unit is an expanding department offering growth opportunities. Clinical staff on the Pulmonary Unit collaborate closely with hospitalists, pulmonologists, and respiratory therapists to deliver high-quality care to patients with acute and chronic respiratory issues. The Pulmonary nurse is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to acute care patients by utilizing nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care. This role operates within the organization's policies and procedures, emphasizing professional growth and accountability. The Pulmonary nurse also ensures the maintenance of practice standards and coordinates patient care activities for all assigned staff to provide quality nursing care. Patient ratios are determined by various factors, including patient volume and acuity, with extenuating circumstances potentially leading to adjusted ratios.
Requirements
- Graduate from a recognized, accredited school of nursing
- No experience required (New Graduates of a nursing program eligible)
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
