About The Position

As a Registered Nurse at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center, you will oversee patient care in the 4th Floor Medical Telemetry-Neuro unit, focusing on stroke patients. This full-time position involves conducting clinical assessments, creating and implementing care plans, and educating patients and families to empower them in their healthcare choices. You will work collaboratively with a healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care and contribute to the development of peers and the community.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Current and valid nursing license.
• BLS certification or ability to obtain within 30 days of starting.
• Deep understanding of nursing and patient care standards.
• Knowledge of nursing laws, rules, standards, and guidelines.
• Proficiency in medical terminology and common medications.
• Respect for medical ethics and patient privacy rights.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and electronic medical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed clinical assessments of patients.
