About The Position
A healthcare facility in New York is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Medical Surgical / Telemetry for a 13-week night shift contract. The RN will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute care environment, utilizing strong clinical, assessment, and telemetry monitoring skills.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Medical-Surgical nursing experience
- Minimum 1 year of Telemetry nursing experience
- 2 years of IV insertion and phlebotomy experience
- 2 years of conscious sedation experience
- Active and unrestricted RN license
Responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to adult Medical-Surgical and Telemetry patients
- Monitor cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition
- Perform IV insertion, phlebotomy, and administer medications as ordered
- Assist with and monitor patients undergoing conscious sedation procedures
- Accurately document patient care in accordance with facility policies
- Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare teams
- Maintain patient safety, infection control, and quality care standards
