About The Position

We are currently seeking skilled Registered Nurses for our 8 North Tower, an 18-private room, Telemetry capable Medical-Surgical unit. Here, you'll care for adolescents (16+), adults, and geriatric patients with multi-system involvement, including general surgical (joint replacements, general surgery, gynecological procedures, urology) and overflow medical patients requiring non-acute cardiac telemetry monitoring. Our patient-to-nurse ratio is set to ensure optimal care, with shift assignments made by the Charge RN based on patient census, complexity, and nurse experience. Maintain your competency through continuing education, department in-services, and annual updates of unit-specific competencies. Requirements

  • Graduation from an accredited school of nursing, BSN degree is preferred.
  • Minimum 6 months previous RN experience required.
  • One year of related work experience in an acute care setting is preferred.
  • Current licensure as a Registered Nurse issued by the Washington State Board of Nursing.
  • Specialty certification, as appropriate to the assigned work unit, is strongly preferred.
  • Current American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS certification.
  • Please be advised that this location requires quarterly American Heart Association (AHA) Resuscitation Quality Improvement (RQI) competency certification post-hire. This ongoing competency is required through resources internal to the facility; outside RQI competency resources are not acceptable for CommonSpirit Health compliance requirements.
