About The Position

Baylor Scott & White Temple is seeking a full time Registered Nurse to join our amazing Level One Medical ICU Department. Baylor Scott & White Memorial Hospital is a 636-bed specialty care teaching hospital, Magnet Designated, and the only Level 1 Trauma Center between Dallas and Austin. As a Registered Nurse, oversee patient care using a professional practice model. Responsibilities include patient assessment, recognizing health issues, creating care plans, and assessing patient responses. Secure patient travel. Know about patient needs in healthcare. Help patients and prevent issues. Follow the Texas Nursing Practice Act and delegate tasks based on condition and team competencies.

Requirements

• Graduate of an Accredited RN Program.
• Specialized field of study should be nursing.
• RN license.
• Must have BLS certification or get it within 30 days of starting in this role.
• 1 year of ICU RN Experience Required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed clinical assessments and prioritize patient and family needs.
• Create, implement, and evaluate care plans.
• Adjust care plans to reach desired outcomes.
• Build therapeutic relationships with patients and families.
• Educate patients, families, nurses, and community members.
• Assess and document learning needs regularly.
• Work with colleagues and community to create a care plan.
• Delegate tasks carefully and follow up promptly.
• Use different strategies for problem-solving with patients, families, and staff.
• Achieve goals through teamwork and contribute to peers' development.
