About The Position

Fairview Ridges Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Medical Cardiac Intermediate Care Unit. This role involves providing nursing care for a diverse patient population, including those with cardiac needs, telemetry requirements, and complex medical conditions. The position is part-time, requiring 64 hours every two weeks, primarily night shifts, and includes every other weekend. The RN will work within a collaborative healthcare team and is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care.

Requirements

• MN RN licensure in good standing by start date
• BLS for health care providers
• Training in medical clinical nursing and arrhythmia monitoring, basic EKG interpretation, and cardiac drips required or must train and pass upon hire
• Excellent critical thinking skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience working as an RN
• Experience in a support role (NA, PCA, NST, or similar) if no RN experience
• Familiarity with EPIC

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, deliver, and evaluate nursing care for assigned patients.
• Coordinate care with healthcare team members and delegate responsibilities as appropriate.
• Utilize arrhythmia monitoring for cardiac/telemetry/stepdown patients.
• Support the team model and utilize EPIC computerized charting.
