About The Position

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced and dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) – Med/Surg to provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced acute care setting. The RN will deliver direct patient care, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure compliance with clinical standards and protocols.

Requirements

• Active New York State RN License (Primary Source Verified)
• AHA BLS Certification
• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited institution
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg experience in acute care or post-acute settings
• Recent experience within the past year required
• Strong clinical skills and patient care expertise
• Physical assessment and patient evaluation
• Medication administration
• Wound care & infection control
• IV therapy and post-operative care
• Telemetry monitoring
• Patient education and communication
• EMR/EHR systems (EPIC preferred)
• Critical thinking and problem-solving
• Team collaboration and time management

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans
• Provide bedside care to pre- and post-surgical patients
• Administer and document medications accurately
• Monitor patient vitals and report any adverse reactions
• Perform wound care, IV insertion, and catheterization
• Operate and monitor specialized medical equipment
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Collaborate with healthcare teams on discharge planning
• Educate patients and families on treatment and recovery
• Ensure adherence to nursing standards and safety protocols
