About The Position

St. Anthony Hospital in Lakewood, Colorado, is a Level I Trauma Center offering a full range of medical specialties and healthcare services, including being the home base for Flight For Life® Colorado. The hospital features four trauma rooms, including a dedicated field-to-surgery suite. In 2023, St. Anthony Hospital received Magnet designation and numerous other awards and accreditations from organizations like the American Heart Association, Chest Pain Center, American College of Cardiology, The Joint Commission, Emergency Nurses Association, NAPBC, and American College of Radiology. The hospital combines expert care with the latest technology and innovation, operating in a fast-paced environment across areas such as trauma, cardiology, stroke, neurosciences, breast imaging, cancer/oncology care, and surgery. The 7th Floor Medical Surgical department is a 36-bed unit primarily treating septic patients, as well as surgical patients, ETOH withdrawal, cellulitis, and chronic conditions like COPD and CHF. The unit is known for its strong culture of teamwork and positivity, high nurse communication scores, and innovative approach, often initiating hospital-wide projects. They seek dynamic, hard-working individuals with a positive attitude, open communication skills, dedication, and accountability who are vested in the department's mission.

Requirements

  • Associates Degree in Nursing required
  • Nursing Diploma or by endorsement
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing required for new graduates
  • RN License required
  • Current state nursing licenses or valid RN license from a participating state in the National Licensure Compact
  • Nursing skills and knowledge base specific to specialty

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing preferred
  • Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing preferred for experienced RNs
  • One year experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the health care team, and the patient/family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.
  • Promote the optimal health, well-being and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines and the State Nurse Practice Act.
  • Demonstrate personal accountability for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.

  • Relocation assistance up to $10,000 if you live greater than 50 miles from this facility
  • $5.75/hr differential from 11pm to 7am for Night Shift RN positions
