Deliver critical care in a high-acuity Med Surg/Tele unit, monitoring complex patients and responding to rapid changes in condition. Requirements
- Education: ADN/BSN from an accredited program
- Licensure: Active, unrestricted NY RN license.
- Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (must be current or eligible for immediate renewal)
- Experience: Minimum of 1.5 years of recent experience (within the past 2 years) in an acute care facility of similar size and acuity level as the hiring hospital
- Must have experience in Med Surg/Tele unit.
- Travel nurses must have experience in Level 1 or Level 2 trauma centers or hospitals of equal or greater size
- Must be Proficient in starting IVs
- Must be able to draw labs independently
- Must be skilled in monitoring and interpreting telemetry (tele)
- Must have the ability to quickly assess and respond to changing patient conditions
- Rapid clinical assessment

- Multidisciplinary collaboration
- Must have strong documentation and communication skills
Nice To Haves
- Experience with high patient volume and multidisciplinary teams is strongly preferred
Responsibilities
- Monitor/interpret cardiac telemetry
- Perform IV starts and lab draws
- Respond to rapid changes in patient condition
- Document care in compliance with standards
- Manage high-volume caseloads
- Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams
