About The Position

Per Diem- varied hours/shifts according to operational needs. 2 East is a 49-bed general medical/surgical telemetry unit that provides care to adult and geriatric patients. The staff cares for patients with a wide variety of acute conditions and patients with multiple comorbidities.

Requirements

• Current Massachusetts RN License.
• Evidence of Continuing Education.
• Prior Med Surg experience required.
• Current Telemetry experience or able to pass Telemetry Competency Exam within 90 days of beginning position.
• Current AHA BLS Certification.

Nice To Haves

• Documented Professional Developmental activities.
• Knowledge of Critical Paths.
• Charge Nurse experience preferred.
• BSN Preferred.
• AHA ACLS Preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to adult and geriatric patients in a telemetry unit.
• Manage patients with a variety of acute conditions and multiple comorbidities.
• Utilize appropriate time management skills.
• Communicate effectively with patients and team members.
• Float to areas where staff is needed as required.
